MUST LOVE DOGS - There I was,... in line at PetSmart with a 30 lb. bag of dog food over my shoulder, when this woman behind me in the check-out line asked, "Do you have a dog?" I thought, "Duh?" On impulse, I said, "No, I'm starting the 'Taste Of The Wild' diet again, although I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital the last time. But I lost 50 pounds before I woke up in intensive care with tubes everywhere and IVs in both arms." I continued that it was essentially a great gluten and additive free diet. The way it works is to load your pockets with kibble and simply eat one or two every time you feel ******. The food is nutritionally complete, so I was going to try it again. I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line with us was now enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy who was standing behind her. Horrified, she asked if I ended up in the hospital because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I was crossing the street, when I stopped to chase my tail and a beer truck hit me. I thought the tall guy was going to choke from trying not to laugh as he headed out of the store. :-) If you've made it this far, thanks for taking a look at my profile. Cybil-types, Bipolar, Hyper-Active, ADHD, OCD, or any other disorder requiring any myriad of therapies, pharmaceuticals, psychic healers or "Woo-Woo" practitioners need not apply. (PLEASE! You know who you are!) To all the ladies viewing this, are you familiar with the biblical story of Ruth? Ruth waited patiently for her mate, Boaz. While you are waiting on YOUR "Boaz", don't settle for any of his relatives; Broke-az, Po-az, Lyin-az, Cheating-az, Dumb-az, Drunk-az, Cheap-az, Lockedup-az, Goodfornothing-az, Lazy-az, and especially his third cousin Beatinyo-az. Wait on your Boaz and make sure he respects you. I will. You should too, but if that's your type, please look elsewhere. It's not me. And please be ready to date and be open to a possible relationship, too. If you're just "testing the waters", go stick your toe in someone else's pond. I'm not the "Transition Person" you're hoping for, or at least I don't want to be him. (If this goes over your head, watch the movie, "When Harry Met Sally".) One more thing... Please ask yourself this, "Are you a 'Giver' or a 'Taker'?" I've found that "Takers" never tire of taking; however, "Givers" do get tired of being taken. I'm a "Giver". Let me know if you are, too. Personally, I no longer have the time, patience or interest to have "Takers" in my life anymore. Life is short. Break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss long and slowly, love deeply, laugh uncontrollably, never regret anything that made you laugh, volunteer for something but not for everything (if you do that, it means you need to "Get a Life!") :-) . Looking for your soul mate? Me too. Hoping to spend time getting to know "the one" who will become your best friend? Ditto. So, "friends first", OK? I'm looking for my "Last First Kiss" and my "One and Only Love", and I hope you are, too. I hunt a lot in the Fall and Winter. Not an NRA fanatic, simply one who prefers to eat fish, fowl and game brought to the table by my own hands. If that is a issue with you, don't bother, for both of our sake. It's part and parcel of who I am and how I was raised and my dog gets mad at me when we don't go. :-) ”
