Here are the likes: books, classic movies, good wine and food, cooking, classical music plus music from the 1950's to the early 1990's, College football and basketball. Best things I've done is subscribe to SIRIUS XM. I love to laugh and try to find the humor in life's situations, if possible.

Here are the dislikes: camping, fishing, NASCAR, smoking, pro football and basketball. Some of the dislikes will be explained in background.

Here are the between likes and dislikes: hiking - it depends of the time and place. Cleaning up - I don't like it but is necessary to maintain a standard of living that is above average.

Background:

I was born on the western frontier in a little log hospital in Los Angeles County. I grew up within walking distance of the beach with my mother and 2 younger brothers. At 17 years of age, I joined the army. My mother did not hesitate one bit in signing the paperwork to allow joining the army under the age of 18. I spent 20 years in the army and they gave me enough camping experience to last the rest of my life. I am the worlds worst fisherman. During my time in the army, I was able to earn a 4 year college degree. That degree make's me qualified to move back in with my mother. After the army, I went into the tech sector during which I earned a masters degree. Again, same qualifications apply to the 4 year college degree. I stayed in the tech sector until I retired a couple of years ago.

What I am looking for: Someone to share a bottle of wine and watch a classic movie with. Travel to destinations to taste the grape. Paddle a tandem kayak on a clear lake. Make a meal together in the kitchen, sit down a watch the news. In other words, a long term relationship.
