Here are the between likes and dislikes: hiking - it depends of the time and place. Cleaning up - I don't like it but is necessary to maintain a standard of living that is above average.

Background:

I was born on the western frontier in a little log hospital in Los Angeles County. I grew up within walking distance of the beach with my mother and 2 younger brothers. At 17 years of age, I joined the army. My mother did not hesitate one bit in signing the paperwork to allow joining the army under the age of 18. I spent 20 years in the army and they gave me enough camping experience to last the rest of my life. I am the worlds worst fisherman. During my time in the army, I was able to earn a 4 year college degree. That degree make's me qualified to move back in with my mother. After the army, I went into the tech sector during which I earned a masters degree. Again, same qualifications apply to the 4 year college degree. I stayed in the tech sector until I retired a couple of years ago.

What I am looking for: Someone to share a bottle of wine and watch a classic movie with. Travel to destinations to taste the grape. Paddle a tandem kayak on a clear lake. Make a meal together in the kitchen, sit down a watch the news. In other words, a long term relationship.
