I Would Describe Myself As

I moved to the Springfield area about 4 years ago and got so wrapped up in work and the daily grind I forgot to appreciate the world around me. There's a difference between making a living and enjoying life. It's time to step out of the rut I've found myself in and enjoy my life.
I'm the type of person that enjoys the discovery of new things, so my hobbies and interests are all over the spectrum, and have changed through time.
My passion is music, the way it can make us want to dance, or sometimes make us cry, its ability to take me back to a moment in time and soothe the soul, I'll have something playing most of the time.
Reading is my stress relief, my go to books tend to be Sci-fi and Mystery. I enjoy being in nature, fishing, hiking, camping, and just being out in the sun and hearing the rustling leaves lifts my spirit and refreshes the mind. I'm a pretty good cook and I'm better on the grill.
Life has it's challenges and I choose to face them with a positive attitude that keeps me grounded, puts my ego in check, and never lets me forget to appreciate the simple things and the wonder of life.
I believe a person's true beauty lies in their heart, the way they treat the people around them, the way they see each new sunrise, and the confidence they have in themselves.
I'm comfortable in my own skin and have no problem going to a restaurant or a movie by myself, but let's face it, those experiences are better if they've shared with someone else.
I'd like to meet another soul that shares a similar curiosity for life and the world. Someone that enjoys a conversation of the abstract, but can also express the highs and lows of their day to day. A person that can tell me how a work of art makes them feel, and a person that is ok with a silent pause in a conversation just to take in the moment. A person that's honest and to the point without being cruel or mean.
