I Would Describe Myself As

I am a family man without a family. I spent most of my time working a lonely job for 45 years as a Locomotive Engineer. On call 24 hours a day always on the road running trains anywhere and everywhere. I retired a few years ago and moved from Texas to Tennessee. I do not smoke and I do not drink. I do not keep up with sports like baseball, football, basketball, hockey or tennis. I might watch the superbowl because the commercials are cute. I am not a golfer. I am not a hunter and I haven’t been fishing since I was a kid. I do enjoy building and driving special cars and motorcycles. I do enjoy going to car shows and race tracks but even they are not much fun going alone. I do not want to be alone anymore. I want a partner to share new adventures go places together making new memories together. I am a sensitive man. I care more for the happiness and comfort of the people I love than anything I might want. I love children and animals. I love walking on the beach and going barefoot in the sand and having someone special there with me to hold my hand. I love being in the country and sharing a sunrise to see how the light sparkles on the morning dew, or watching a warm spring rain from a covered porch in a hammock made for two. I love the warmth of a fireplace on a cold winter night and having my special lady snuggled in my arms for me to hold her tight. I sometimes get in the mood to play my guitar and sing or just go for a drive in the country to see the wild flowers that bloom in the spring. I love long slow kisses the kind that curl your toes, the special closeness and intimacy that only my partner knows. Retirement to me doesn’t mean slow down. I believe that you don’t get old until your regrets outnumber your dreams. I am hanging on to the dreams I want to share and I hope there is a special lady out there somewhere that would allow me into her dreams. Retirement means I finally have the freedom to follow those dreams.
